What is ReplayQA?
ReplayQA turns a screen recording of your web app into an automated regression test, proves it in a real browser, and replays it without AI.
ReplayQA turns screen recordings into automated regression tests for web apps. You record a flow working on your site, such as signing up, checking out or creating a record, and upload the video. ReplayQA works out the steps, repeats them in a real Chromium browser to prove they work, and saves them as a test you can replay whenever you release.
You don't write test code, and you don't need to know Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
How it works
- You upload a video. Any MP4 or WebM screen recording of one flow, from start to the result you expect.
- AI writes the steps. A vision model reads the video once and drafts each click, typed value, selection and date, plus a check for the result at the end.
- ReplayQA proves them. It repeats the steps on your site in Chromium. If every step works, the test is saved. You can watch it happen live.
- You replay it any time. Press Play on one test, or Play All on a suite. Replays are plain browser automation with no AI involved, so they behave the same way every time.
What makes it different
- No AI on replay. AI is only used to understand the video (and, if you ask, to explain a failure). Saved tests run deterministically, so a failure means something changed on your site.
- Proved before saved. A test only joins your library after it has passed in a real browser.
- Locators that last. Elements are found by what they are and what they say ("the Checkout button"), not by fragile page structure.
- Nothing changes behind your back. When a fix is suggested, it becomes a new draft that you approve.
What it's for, and what it isn't
ReplayQA automates regression checks you can show in a video: the flows your users depend on and that should keep working release after release.
It doesn't replace exploratory, accessibility, performance or security testing, and a passing test shows the screen behaved as expected, not that every backend record is correct.
